1994 – The School of International Relations is established
1994 – “International Relations” programme was created
1994 – School became member of the TEMPUS programme
1994 – Department of World Politics was established
1995 – “Area Studies” programme was created
1995 – Department of North American Studies was established
1995 – Department of the Theory and History of International Relations was established
1995 – European Documentation Centre was established
1995 – annual internship programme at the St Petersburg Government External Relations Committee was launched
1995 – the first research publication by the School faculty appeared
1996 – The MA Programme is opened
1996 – Dissertation Council was established
1996 – Department of European Studies was established
1996 – “European Studies” MA programme was opened
1997 – Department of International Humanitarian Links was established
1998 – The School of International Relations joins APSIA
1998 – “North American Studies” MA programme was opened
1998 – “CIS Studies” MA programme was opened
1999 – first specialists in international relations graduated the School
1999 – Council of Europe Information and Documentation Center was established
2000 – Transition to the Bologna standards
2000 – “World Politics” MA programme was opened
2000 – annual internship programme at the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affaires was launched
2000 – UN Depository Library was established
2001 – “International Relations” BA programme was opened
2001 – “Applied IT-Technology in the Sphere of International Relations” programme was opened
2001 – first issue of “Piterburgsky Mezhdunarodnik” (“St Petersburg International Relations Bulletin” was published
2002 – Visit of the President of Russia V. Putin and the US President G. Bush
2003 – Further development of MA programmes
2002 – annual internship programme at the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affaires was launched
2003 – “International Humanitarian Links” MA programme was opened
2003 – “History of International Relations” MA programme was opened
2003 – “Baltic and Nordic Studies” MA programme was opened
2003 – “Pacific Region Studies” MA programme was opened
2005 – Restoration of the School’s Auditorium
2006 - “Theory of International Relations” MA programme was opened
2006 - “International Cooperation in the Field of Environment and Development” MA programme was opened
2006 - Visit of the ex-President of the USSR M. Gorbachev
2006 - “Diplomacy of the Russian Federation and Foreign States ” MA programme was opened
2007 – Participation in the National Project “Education”
2007 – implementation of the innovation project by the School
2007 – annual internship programmes at the UN Headquarters in New York and Geneva were established
2007 – Resource Center for Information and Research Support for the study programme “Baltic and Nordic Studies” was opened
2007 – Resource Center for Project Development, Consultations and Information Analysis was opened
2008 – new learning method based on interactive techniques of the leading vendors – Canon, IBM, Microsoft and Google – was introduced in combination with the technical refurbishment of study rooms, establishment of Wi-Fi areas for students and visitors
2008 – Visit of the President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce Y. Primakov
2009 – Hosting the CEEISA Convent
2009 – Refurbishment of the library
2009 – Russia’s first Conference on Information Technology in Education was held
2009 – Partnership Agreement with Microsoft was signed
