Saint-Petersburg – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan – Ekaterinburg – Tyumen –

We set off on our exciting journey from Saint-Petersburg in our own comfortable railway carriage that will be uncoupled from the locomotive for the period of stay and excursions in different cities and then will be joined to the trains following our route.
First we visit Nizhny Novgorod, the unique city combining traditional Russian culture and modern industrial technologies. During the city sightseeing tour we will see Kremlin built in the 16th century, lots of ancient monasteries and fortresses and will beauty of the two largest rivers Oka and Volga.
Then we travel to Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan Republic, where we can walk around the historical center with its gorgeous architecture, see numerous mosques and “visiting card” of the city – the Square of Millennium and Kremlin.
After that we move to Ekaterinburg called “the capital of Ural”. There we will visit famous Cathedral-on-the-Blood built on the place of Ipatiev house where the emperor Nikolay II and his family were assassinated. We can also enjoy various architectural monuments of the 19th century, built in Classicism style, churches and monasteries.
The next point of our tour is Tyumen, the first Russian city in Siberia, unofficial “oil and gas capital” of Russia.
From Tyumen we travel to Novosibirsk, the third largest in number of population city of Russia. There we will see a lot of city sights including Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the biggest theatre building in Russia, and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral.
Following our route we move to Krasnoyarsk that stands on the Enisey river. We will walk around State Nature Reserve “Stolbi” and will also see Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel which is depicted on a 10-ruble-note and Railway Bridge which UNESCO called “the summit of human engineering thought”.
The final point of our journey is Irkutsk located near lake Baikal, the deepest lake in the world. In Irkutsk we will visit New Kazan Cathedral, Decembrists’ House Museum in the Volkonsky Mansion and Znamensky Monastery.
Afterwards we go to Irkutsk airport and come back to Saint-Petersburg by plane.
